What information Minine Translate collects, how we use it, and the choices you have.
This Privacy Policy explains what information Minine Translate collects, how we use it, and what choices you have. Our core principle is to perform as many operations locally on your device as possible (such as speech-to-text, text-to-speech, and history storage), while securely transmitting translation requests to the cloud without long-term storage.
Applicable to: Minine Translate for iOS.
This Privacy Policy explains how Minine Inc. (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the Minine Translate mobile application for iOS (the “App”).

This Privacy Policy applies to the Minine Translate iOS application distributed through the Apple App Store. It does not apply to third-party websites, applications, or services linked from within the App.
A. Information You Provide: Text you actively type, paste, or dictate for translation; images you capture or import for text extraction (OCR); multi-turn conversational content in Conversation mode; and feedback or support requests you send to us via email.
B. Information Collected Automatically: Device Information — device model, operating system (iOS) version, system language, locale, and App version. App Usage Data — features used, interaction patterns, session duration, and crash logs. Advertising & Attribution Data — advertising identifier (IDFA, subject to your App Tracking Transparency consent), IDFV, ad interaction data, and ad attribution information.
C. What We Do NOT Collect: This App does not require account creation. We do not collect traditional usernames, passwords, or personal email addresses (unless you email us for support).
We use the information we collect to:
Provide Translations: Process your text, speech, and image translation requests.
Optimize Performance: Analyze crash logs and usage data to identify bugs and improve the App.
Serve Advertisements: Display relevant ads within the free App.
Ad Attribution: Measure the effectiveness of our user acquisition campaigns.
Legal Compliance: Comply with applicable laws, regulations, and legal processes.
This section explains how your translation requests are handled:
Local Processing (On-Device): Device features such as Speech-to-Text (STT), Text-to-Speech (TTS), image text recognition (OCR), and your translation History are processed primarily on your device using native iOS capabilities.
Cloud Translation: The actual translation requests (the text) are transmitted securely via HTTPS/TLS to our cloud infrastructure (including Amazon Web Services (AWS)) or authorized third-party APIs.
No Long-Term Storage: We and our third-party APIs process your inputs in real-time to generate translations. We do not retain or store your submitted text after the translation is delivered, except as temporarily necessary for security, abuse prevention, or server logging.
We do not sell your personal information. We only share necessary data with the following categories of recipients:
Cloud Infrastructure: Providers like AWS to host and process translation requests.
Translation APIs: Authorized third-party language processing APIs for certain language pairs.
Ad Networks: Google AdMob (and its mediation networks) for displaying ads.
Analytics & Attribution: Meta (Facebook) SDK and AppsFlyer for measuring ad engagement and install sources.
Legal Requirements: When required by law, subpoena, or to protect our legal rights.
Translation History: Stored locally on your device. You can clear this data at any time within the App or by uninstalling the App.
Analytics Data: Aggregated and de-identified usage data is retained for up to 24 months.
Support Communications: Emails are retained until your issue is resolved, and up to 12 months thereafter.
Depending on your location (e.g., CCPA, GDPR), you may have certain rights regarding your data. Because this is an unauthenticated App, most data remains under your direct control:
Deletion: You can delete your translation history and local settings by clearing them in the App or uninstalling the App.
Opt-Out of Tracking: You can deny App Tracking Transparency (ATT) permission when prompted, or change it in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
Revoke Permissions: You can revoke microphone or camera access at any time in your iOS Settings.
Contact Us: To exercise specific legal rights regarding data we might hold, email [email protected].
The App may request the following device permissions. Denying a permission will limit the specific feature, but core text translation will still work:
Microphone & Speech Recognition: Used for voice translation and conversation features.
Camera: Used for real-time translation of physical text.
Photo Library: Used for importing images for translation.
Tracking: Used for ad personalization and attribution.
The App integrates third-party services that process data according to their own privacy policies:
Amazon Web Services (AWS): Infrastructure processing — AWS Privacy
Google AdMob: Advertising — Google Privacy Policy
Meta / Facebook SDK: Ad analytics — Meta Privacy Policy
AppsFlyer: Attribution — AppsFlyer Privacy Policy
We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures, including HTTPS/TLS encryption, to protect your data during transit. However, no electronic transmission over the internet is 100% secure. You use the App at your own risk.
The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the applicable minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
We operate from the United States, and we utilize global cloud infrastructure (such as AWS). Your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the U.S. or other regions where our vendors operate. By using the App, you consent to this transfer.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Effective Date” at the top. Your continued use of the App constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
